Relaxing in PR

I went to Puerto Rico to find a place to relax by the water. I came across this little spot with a hammock, a couple chairs, even a bucket of Corona's! This was definitely relaxing!

Gondola ride

I went on a Gondola ride in Italy. When I got on it just started going, there was no man there rowing! When I looked ahead I saw a bottle of champagne sitting but no glasses! There was music playing which was even more relaxing. When I turned one of the corners, I saw this rainbow and was surprised to see one in Second Life. Thought it would be a good picture

Statue of Liberty

This is obviously the Statue of Liberty! Its a pretty good replica, right? I have never seen it before in person so I figured this would be a good opportunity to check it out. It was so big that I almost couldn't get this whole thing in the picture. I had to fly up in the air to get it.

Submarine Ride

Next I went to Alaska and actually found this submarine ride! It took me on a little tour around the bottom of the ocean. I saw a whale, a couple dolphins, a school of fish and some jellyfish. It was pretty interesting although I'm still trying to figure out how I found this in Alaska!

Japanese bar

I want to Japan to see what it was like and what I could find. At first I tried to go water skiing. I thought it would be fun but for some reason it wouldn't let me so I had to look for something else to do. There were alot of chairs on the beach and rafts floating in the ocean you could lay on. I relaxed on them out for a little bit but got bored so I ended up at this bar. I couldn't talk to anyone though because they only spoke Japanese!

Cat Burgular

I was in Venice Beach checking out some prime real estate and saw this nice house on the ocean front. It was private property, but that didn't stop me from trying to break in and steal all their stuff muhahahahaha! I'm a bad person in my second life!

Got myself a drink

I got myself a drink and decided to go and sit down and enjoy it on this patio in Miami.

Big Pimpin

Here I'am inside the yacht like Jay-Z in the "Big Pimpin" video, but I'm not surrounded by hoardes of women. I sat down and enjoyed life while watching the big screen TV.

On A Yacht

Here I'm at a casino resort in Vegas. They had a yacht (although I don't ever recall Vegas on the Pacific coast). I wanted to fly the helicopter, but I needed to pay money. This is just like real life.

Joyriding?

I tried stealing this nice lamborgini, but I couldnt. They were for sale, but I had to pay a ridiculous amount of money for them.
· In World vs. Real World: How is the virtual society different than our real world society?
o The virtual society is different than our real world society because the virtual society you cannot feel anything or smell the flowers or smell anything for that matter. You are just an avatar of yourself running around all over the world seeing different things all the time. You can do things in the virtual world that you might not be able to do in the real world such as jump on the back of a whale and ride it around the ocean or even go inside a cell.
· How was your group meeting in world different, better or worse than the meeting in Blackboard Vista's chat groups that your instructors set up for this course?
Our group was unable to meet in the virtual world so we don’t have anything to really compare our chat meetings too. We had technical difficulties such as some of us were unable to access second life at home. Even at school there was some difficulty logging on because of the wireless network in the computer lab was not working properly.
· How can virtual worlds like Second Life enhance the teaching and learning experiences for students?
There are some educational resources in second life such as the cell that people are able to get inside. You can also hold conferences and meetings in second life which could facilitate teaching and learning experiences. There are also many other educational resources on second life because you can go basically anywhere. In class, we went to the site that had the example of what you would experience if you had a mental disorder. That could be an example of an educational resource if you were a psychology major.
· What are the implications for the arts and society?
One example of how it affects society is the article we were given to read. A husband and wife married in real life and in the virtual world are now divorced because the husband was cheating on the wife in the virtual world. Cheating could increase because of this virtual world along with many other things. People could also meet other friends from around the world here which could be positive or even negative. As far as the implications on art, for example, the Sistine Chapel people are now able to see the artwork created without even leaving their homes. It could also increase the probability of your artwork being seen and maybe making you famous!!!!!

Bootylicisouz Club...

Ok well I decided to spend my last day in Second Life in a club called "booty JAMZ" and let me tell you... I think people were getting shot around me. I was the only business looking women doing my thing on the dance floor. Everyone I passed had a gun in their waste. I was a little nervous. I chose this place because I wanted to find some other avatars. Every place I visited I couldn't find anyone. I wasn't looking to make friends but see what people actually did on Second Life. Wow what a different world.

Cruise in VEGAS....

I wanted to do some gambling in Las Vegas but ended up on a boat relaxing in the hot tub. I still had my wine from Ireland so I am just walking around drinking it everywhere I go! I did fall off the ship to the bottom but managed to get myself back together.. damn wine!

Ireland....

This is me bartending in Ireland!! Too bad I didn't have any customers. I made myself at home and started drinking myself. What's an Irish Pub without the booze???

Kingston Jamaica...

Jamaica is my favorite vacation spot, that's why I chose to visit. I ended up in Kingston Jamaica. As I was hanging out on the basketball court I saw some really cool pictures of Bob Marley. I love Bob Marley!! I couldn't find anyone to talk to though...

Light House in KEY WEST, FL

This is the light house in Key West. I picked Key West because it's my favorite vacation spot. It's so beautiful and quiet. It was the same in Second Life. I couldn't find anyone to talk to. Light houses are made so ships and boats know when they are approaching the coast in bad weather. This one I think may be for decoration. I do know in Key West they have a military base so, the real light house may be used for that reason. :)

Pole dancing in Puerto Rico!!

This is me dancing on a pole in Puerto Rico. Honestly I don't know how I got to dancing on a pole but I guess it was fun. I was just a little confused because I can not ready spanish! I chose to go to Puerto Rico because I have been wanting to go for a long time. I was trying to find a place in here with the PR flag so I could take a picture of it. I ended up in a reage club dancing on a pole!! It was fun though!

Here I was in Mexico taking a little train ride. It was interesting. The train would stop at some interesting points and you could get off and get back on the train and continue your ride. It took me to a little pond with taquila plants it was actually pretty. Something I'd really love to see in real life.

Here i was in Argentina....and I found this whale just hanging out at the dock. Apparently you can click on the whale and it takes you for a ride. I couldn't quite figure out how to manuever the whale without falling off....so I ended up at the bottom of the ocean....a lot.

Here I searched for "Philadelphia" and ended up at some biomedicine reasearch site. It allowed you to enter a cell...so I did. I was just floating around inside some type of cell. I'm not sure what type of cell it is....oh and check out my new hair that I got while I was in the Bahamas HE HE!!!!!!!!!!

Here I flew around the Bahamas a little bit. There were dolphins jumping in the water and stuff. I've been to the bahamas and it did not look like this at all!! I sunbathed too and when I went to lay on the towel thing I tried to figure out how to get back up...and detached my hair!!!!!!! I couldn't figure out how to get it back so I had to change my hair style all together...as you will see in the other pictures I took.

I went to the Sistine Chapel recreation that we went to in class. It was interesting. The art is absolutely amazing. I got to stand all the way on the top on a ledge and take this picture...something you probably can not do in real life. It made me want to see it in person.
